On his vision for Franchise Freight

 I started Franchise Freight because I looked at all the wrongs that I saw when I was driving for other companies and I wanted to fix them. When I was a driver, I didn’t like feeling like a number at the big companies. I didn’t like not having time at home for my family. I didn’t like that the companies took so much revenue from drivers off a load.

Franchise Freight so far is doing exactly what I wanted it to. It’s given me the opportunity to help people who enjoy trucking, and to give these people an organization they can trust in.

At Franchise Freight, we want the experience for the driver to be as good as possible. When a driver has a problem on the road and they call the office, they’re speaking to me personally and I help them personally. We have open discussions with drivers about where we are as a business, and if they see any areas where we could improve, we work to fix it.

And because of all this, I’d tell anyone thinking of working for us that they’ve found the best truck carrier in the world for a professional driver.

On how Franchise Freight compares to other companies

I spent some time working as a company driver and got tired of working for others. At the big companies, you’re just a number, and they don’t always care about whether or not you make it home. They don’t hire one to one or personally. It’s all about the big picture. They don’t have the personal touch.

With David I can pick and choose where I want to go. When you have a family to go home to, he understands. As a driver, you’ve got a life outside the truck, and sometimes the bigger companies don’t understand that.

On what Franchise Freight offers to its drivers

Franchise Freight is much more personal. David knows me and I know him. They care about you here. I have less stress, the ability to take care of my family, more money. There are no hidden fees. They respect you as a driver, respect that you’ve got a family, respect when you need to go home. And everything David has said he’d do for me, he’s done. You know what you’re going to get.
